It’s that time of the week again, the time you kick your feet up and read up on all the gaming news you may have missed before the weekend starts. We’ve got another development in the Hellena Taylor/Bayonetta 3 saga as our top story, as Taylor has been urging fans to boycott the title and support anti-abortion charities.

Former Bayonetta Actor Calls On Fans To Donate To Anti-Abortion Charities

Let’s get the serious stuff out of the way first, as former Bayonetta voice actor Hellena Taylor is once again asking fans to boycott Bayonetta 3. Instead of using money to purchase the game, Taylor has listed several charities she wants fans to donate to. At least of two of these charities are anti-abortion, while another two share anti-abortion views. One of these charities includes Billboards for Life, a group that spreads misinformation about abortions through the use of massive billboards.


Black Adam Is Coming To MultiVersus Next Monday, Class And Partial Moveset Revealed

Onto some more positive news now, as MultiVersus developer Player First has finally pinned down a release date for Black Adam. The anti-hero was originally supposed to join the roster at some point this week, but he’s now been pushed back slightly to October 31. Along with the release date, Player First also released his character card, which revealed Black Adam will be a Bruiser as well as a few moves from his moveset.

Sony’s New Studio Is Working On A “Beloved Franchise” With Naughty Dog

You may recall that earlier this week, a new job listing revealed that Sony is building a new development team that will work alongside Visual Arts on a new title in collaboration with Naughty Dog. We now have a little bit more information about that title, as another job listing has revealed that the team will be working with a “beloved franchise” alongside Naughty Dog. What with Naughty Dog being quite a prolific developer, that could mean one of several franchises, although Jak & Daxter will probably have their fingers and toes crossed.

Just like with the entirety of Activision Blizzard, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 just can’t stop creating controversy. Shortly after receiving criticism for its portrayal of de-escalation, Infinity Ward was quick to explain that Modern Warfare 2 is not a “commentary on current events.” Instead, Modern Warfare 2 is apparently only “inspired by events,” which definitely isn’t an excuse for yet another big developer trying to ignore the heavy political themes in its games.

Netflix Introduces Official Discord Bot For Hosting Watch Parties

A bit of good news to round things out now, as Netflix has introduced a new bot that will allow users to host watch parties on Discord servers. The bot is called ‘Hey, Netflix’ and makes hosting watch parties a whole lot easier than usual. So, if you’re stuck for something to do this weekend, why not gather up a bunch of buddies and watch a film or two?
