Octopath Traveler 2 is an impressive JRPG that invites you to explore a vast world teeming with treasures, quests, and battles. One of the best aspects of the game is being able to equip characters with an assortment of accessories to raise their stats, abilities, and overall effectiveness in combat.
While you can find accessories in various locations throughout the game, some are more powerful than others. As such, you’ll want to make sure you’re prioritizing the best Octopath Traveler 2 accessories by seeking them out and equipping them as soon as possible.
10 Ancient Necklace: It’s Not Much, But It’ll Do
As is tradition with most RPGs, many of Octopath Traveler 2’s early-game accessories provide your characters with only a nominal stat increase. Such is the case with the Ancient Necklace, an item that can be found in a chest in the Prison Underground Passage after going down a second set of stairs.
This necklace will provide your character with +30 HP and +10 SP, making it pretty handy for battles early on when your party is not quite strong enough to take on certain enemies. That said, it won’t be long before you find yourself swapping out the Ancient Necklace with something better.
9 Angel’s Ring: The Holiest of Protections
The Angel’s Ring is another useful accessory in Octopath Traveler 2 that will boost your character’s elemental defense by +20 and provides +30 SP. It’s a great item to have once you start encountering more powerful enemies that will bombard you with elemental attacks.
You can obtain the Angel’s Ring by purchasing it from shops throughout Solistia, usually for 6,500 Leaves. To see if it’s in stock, hit up the nearest Armorer, Provisioner, or General Store location. Alternatively, you can find the item being sold in Black Markets during the night.
8 Enlightening Necklace: Catch Me If You Can
Throughout the RPG’s history, evasion has consistently been the most unreliable stat type. It is either broken or entirely useless, depending on the game and how Lady Luck feels at the time. However, it can still be worth the investment in Octopath Traveler 2 if you can get your hands on the Enlightening Necklace.
Found by mugging the Thief located near Clockbank, Brightlands, this powerful accessory grants your character +80 evasion during battle. Give it to your most frail party members, and they might just stand a chance of surviving against the game’s hardest bosses.
7 Elemental Augmentor: Cooking With Fire
An absolute must-have accessory for spell-casting mages, the Elemental Augmentor bestows your character with +100 elemental attack. While this is a pretty substantial stat increase compared to other accessories, the item can be a bit tricky to find in Octopath Traveler 2.
Thankfully, the game provides two options for securing the Elemental Augmentor: either by entreating the Townsperson in Sai, Hinoeuma at level 25, or discovering it in a chest in the Shrine of Ul’sterra past the western staircase and through a hidden passageway.
6 Physical Belt: Bulking Up Never Felt So Good
If you find yourself taking a lot of damage during battles in Octopath Traveler 2, it may be worth it to invest heavily in defense. One of the best accessories for doing so is to equip the Physical Belt, which grants the wearer +50 physical defense and +65 physical attack.
To obtain it, you’ll first need to travel to New Delsta in the Brightlands and locate a nearby game parlor. Here, you’ll find an NPC guard to interact with to receive the item. Additionally, the Physical Belt can be found by mugging the Mercenary in Gravell, Wildlands, or entreating them at level 38.
5 Sisters’ Amulet: Crits Galore
Given as a reward for completing The Missing Girl side quest for the Worried Mother in Gravell, the Sisters’ Amulet is another Octopath Traveler 2 accessory that relies on luck. With it equipped, characters receive +100 speed and critical hit chance during battle.
This can be a useful strategy for making weak attacks pack more punch while giving slower characters a fighting chance. Along with the Sisters’ Amulet, The Missing Girl quest rewards you with the Eye of Calamity, another useful accessory that lowers a character’s physical/elemental attack at the start of a battle before boosting both stats by +120.
4 Librarian’s Amulet: A Bookworm’s Best Friend
Serving as a more potent alternative to the Angel’s Ring, the Librarian’s Amulet is given as a reward for completing the Procuring Peculiar Tomes side story for the Unusual Tome Specialist in Montwise. This quest entails traveling to multiple locations to procure dispatches.
For your hard work, you’ll gain the option to bestow any character of your choosing with +120 elemental defense and +120 SP. As if that wasn’t enough, completing this side story nets you an additional 6,500 Leaves and some refreshing jam.
3 Mikka’s Amulet: Gotta Go Fast
Speed is another notable variable in Octopath Traveler 2’s combat that determines the order in which enemies and party members attack. As such, you’ll want to make sure at least one of your characters is fast enough to cut to the head of the line.
One of the best ways to ensure you’re always going first is to equip an accessory like Mikka’s Amulet, a powerful item that grants +100 speed, accuracy, and physical defense. To get it, you’ll need to complete Mikka’s Next Chapter, a side story set in Ku that sees you retrieving the character’s earrings from a bandit in exchange for the amulet and 10,000 Leaves.
2 Empowering Necklace: Look At All That Health
Managing your party’s health is a top priority in any RPG, including Octopath Traveler 2. And while the game presents you with an assortment of accessories for increasing your characters’ HP, none are on the same level as the Empowering Necklace.
Touting a whopping +1,000 HP boost, this accessory is one of the most impactful in the game and can be found in several ways. The most straightforward is to find it in a chest located near the northeastern side of the Shrine Entrance in Merry Hills. You can also get the Empowering Necklace by stealing it from the Soldier in Timberain, Leaflands, purchasing it from them 19,000 Leaves, or entreating them at level 50.
1 Champion’s Belt: No More Surprise Parties
Champion’s Belt is easily one of the best accessories in Octopath Traveler 2 as it provides characters with some useful bonuses. The first is +100 physical attack, followed up by +100 critical hit chance, and finally, a special effect that prevents enemies from being able to perform surprise attacks.
To obtain the Champion’s Belt, you’ll need to complete the Tourney Champion side story for the Worried Woman in Montwise. This entails knocking the Fainthearted Youth unconscious and entering the tournament in his place. Come out victorious, and you’ll be crowned the new champion!
